![]() Major and Young Engineers Prizes
Since 1977 EuMC, now EuMA, is awarding every year the EuMC Microwave Prize, for the best contributed paper to the Conference. The selection is based entirely on the material submitted - abstract, full paper and presentation. The EuMC Microwave Prize is an international award with no restriction as to age or nationality. The value of the Prize is € 5,000.In 1998 the Management Committee approved the guidelines for the Mini-Circuits Student Fellowship, established Jerusalem ‘97. Since 2003, this recognition is funded by EuMA, as two Young Engineers Prizes of € 2,000 each to young engineers or researchers who have presented an outstanding paper at the EuMC. Eligible candidates must be (1) aged 30 or younger at the date of the award, (2) be the first author of the paper, (3) be the presenter (either of an oral or poster session). There is an annual Prize as well as an annual Young Engineers Prize established for the best papers presented in the frame of EuMIC. The rules are similar to those for EuMC. Funded by EuMA, the Prize is at € 3,000 while the Young Engineers Prize is at € 2,000. Since 2002, there is also an annual Prize as well as an annual Young Engineers Prize established for the best papers presented in the frame of EuWiT. The rules are similar to those for EuMC. Funded by EuMA, the Prize is at € 3,000 while the Young Engineers Prize is at € 2,000. The Raytheon Company is sponsoring an annual award of € 5,000 to recognize outstanding accomplishments in the field of radar, with a first time presentation in 2001. Eligible candidates for the EuMW Radar Prize are the author(s) of a paper accepted for inclusion in the programme of the EuRAD. Starting 2005, the award is split into the Radar Prize, valued at € 3,000, and the Young Engineer Radar Prize, valued at € 2,000.
