Awards
EuMA is proud to acknowledge those individuals who have given exceptional contributions to the microwave community. In 2004 the Distinguished Service Award, was established to "recognize an individual who has given outstanding service for the benefit of the European microwave community an, in particular, for the advancement of the European Microwave Association". In addition, a new award, the Outstanding Career Award will be presented for the first time in 2008, to recognize an individual "whose career has exemplified outstanding achievements in the field of Microwaves". Both awards for 2008 will be presented during the opening ceremony of the EuMW, Amsterdam. The awards consist of a bronze medal carrying the name of the recipient. The EuMA Distinguished Service Award has been conferred successively to Profs. Fred Gardiol, 2004, Peter Clarricoats, 2005, Tibor Berceli, 2006 and to Erik Kollberg in 2007. Nominations should be submitted to the Awards Committee.  |
