EuMW 2010EuMW continues its series of successful events with the 13th European Microwave Week 2010 which will be held at the CNIT la Défense, Paris, France from 26 September to 1 October 2010. The French exhibition and conference centre is easy to access with good transportation from Paris airports and RER-Métro stations. This event gathers all the international microwave community around four thematic conferences:EuMC – European Microwave Conference EuMIC – European Microwave Integrated Circuits Conference EuWIT – European Wireless Technology Conference EuRAD – European Radar Conference In addition to the conferences, the attendees will have the opportunity to attend workshops and short courses, as well as the European Microwave Exhibition which constitutes the largest trade show on RF and microwaves in Europe. The event focuses on the needs of engineers and researchers and provides an invaluable opportunity for both academia and commerce to consider the latest trends and developments that are widening the field of application of microwaves. Visit the EuMW2010 website for more information. It was also agreed to establish a EuMA Topical Group on RF MEMS, based on the AMICOM community, to be launched formally in early 2010.Change of PresidentProfessor Roberto Sorrentino will retire as President of the European Microwave Association at the end of the year. The General Assembly recorded a heart-felt vote of thanks to the President at the end of his final meeting. He will be succeeded on 1 January 2010 by Professor Wolfgang Heinrich.European Microwave Lecturers
EuMA recently announced an agreement with IEEE MTT-S, expanding the Speakers Bureau with a new category: European Microwave Lecturers (EML). The programme was launched with an initial panel of 3 distinguished lecturers.
