In their resolve to commemorate and honour their late colleague, friend, member, and role model, Prof. Tom Brazil, the Gallium-Arsenide Application Symposium Association and the European Microwave Association introduce the Tom Brazil Fellowship Award for promoting and highlighting the significance of microwaves in supporting the global challenges of our modern societies, through the vision of their young scholars.

The Tom Brazil scholarships were first introduced and bestowed in the frame of the 26th edition of the European Microwave Week, held in 2023 in Berlin. They are henceforth bestowed on a yearly basis in the frame of the European Integrated Circuit Conference, one of the three sister conferences of the European Microwave Week.
