NONRECIPROCAL WAVE PROPAGATION IN A HOLLOW IMAGE GUIDE WITH A FERRITE LAYER
S.W. Yun, T. Itoh
NONRECIPROCAL WAVE PROPAGATION IN A HOLLOW IMAGE GUIDE WITH A FERRITE LAYER S. W. Yun and T. Itoh ABSTRACT A hollow image guide with a ferrite layer is studied for its nonreciprocal wave propagation. A method based on the effective dielectric constant approach is used for analysis and design of an isolator. Experimental verification is performed at frequencies around 35 GHz.
A SIXTY-WAY S-BAND RADIAL WAVEGUIDE COMBINER
A. Thompson, J.V. Yelland
A SIXTY-WAY S-BAND RADIAL WAVEGUIDE COMBINER A Thompson, J V Yelland ABSTRACT Design and which is to application one or more such graceful design are the absence four section the 2.7 to in extremely reliability. construction performance information is presented for a divider/combiner be used in an S-band solid state radar transmitter. In this the ability to continue operation in the event of
THEORETICAL ANALYSIS FOR THE DESIGN OF A COMPACT CIRCULAR CAVITY WITH EMPTY CORE
T. Sphicopoulos, L.-G. Bernier, F.E. Gardiol
THEORETICAL EMPTY CORE ANALYSIS FOR THE DESIGN OF A COMPACT CIRCULAR CAVITY WITH T. SPHICOPOULOS, L.-G. BERNIER, F.E. GARDIOL ABSTRACT A compact and light-weight cavity with empty core and uniform field distribution is described contrary to dielectric loaded cavities. Only metallic losses are present. Thus the quality factor is reasonably high. An efficient and rigorous method yielding the
NETWORK THEORY FOR ANISOTROPIC STRATIFIED WAVEGUIDES
O. Schwelb, C. Baltassis
NETWORK THEORY FOR ANISOTROPIC STRATIFIED WAVEGUIDES O. Schwelb, C. Baltassis ABSTRACT A matrix method is presented for the analysis of electromagnetic wave propagation in loss less anisotropic layered waveguides. In those cases where bidirectional propagation is supported the concept of transverse wave impedance is introduced and an equivalent four-port network represents a single mode in
WIDEBAND DOUBLE - RIDGED 8 - WAY RADIAL COMBINER
M. Oz
WIDEBAND DOUBLE - RIDGED 8 - WAY RADIAL COMBINER Moshe Oz ABSTRACT A new double-ridged band has been 8 - way radial combiner based over a 4 to 10GHz waveguide frequency theory has developed. The design and on ridged for calculating 0.5dB insertion the bandwidth loss and 1.5 impedance. over The developed an octave combiner : 1 VSWR ± 0.3dB bandwidth, and more good than amplitude
THEORY AND OPERATION OF CIRCULAR GUIDE CONTAINING AZIMUTHALLY MAGNETIZED SEMICONDUCTOR
V.I. Miteva, K.P. Ivanov
THEORY AND OPERATION OF CIRCULAR GUIDE CONTAINING AZIMUTHALLY MAGNETIZED SEMICONDUCTOR V.I. Miteva and K.P. Ivanov * ABSTRACT An analytical technique is developed and applied to calcuand interpret the nonreciprocal transmission characteristics of a circular guide containing passive semiconductor magnetoplasma. Possible applications of the structure for construction of practical nonre
OPTIMAL WAVEGUIDE TO E-PLANE CIRCUIT TRANSITIONS WITH BINOMIAL AND CHEBYSHEV TRANSFORMERS
W.J.R. Hoefer, C.J. Verver
OPTIMAL WAVEGUIDE TO E-PLANE CHEBYSHEV TRANSFORMERS CIRCUIT TRANSITIONS WITH BINOMIAL AND Wolfgang J.R. Hoefer* and Cornelius J. Verver** ABSTRACT This paper presents closed-form expressions for the design of quarter-wave transformer sections for matching fin line tapers to their commensurate waveguide. The formulae have been derived using perturbation theory and homogeneous waveguide m
BAND-PASS FILTERS in INTEGRATING WAVEGUIDE TECHNOLOGY and ADAPTERS to STANDARD WAVEGUIDES
J.H. Hinken
BAND-PASS FILTERS in INTEGRATING WAVEGUIDE TECHNOLOGY and ADAPTERS to STANDARD WAVEGUIDES Johann H. Hinken ABSTRACT Standard waveguide circuits do not lend themselves to integration as do circuits made according to the INWATE process. In this paper 10 GHz and 30 GHz INWATE band-pass filters which do not require tuning are described with regard to their manufacture and measurement results. At
X-BAND HYBRID-INTEGRATED VCOs WITH HIGH TUNING LINEARITY
D.F. Luan, G.Y. Zhou, S. Qin
X-BAND HYBRID-INTEGRATED VCOs WITH HIGH TUNING LINEARITY D.F.Luan G.Y.Zhou S.Qin ABSTRACT This paper describes a X-band Gunn diode VCO using GaAs abrupt varactor, its electronic tuning linearity is improved by multi-section reactance compensation. The performence of this VCO has been acheived as following:linearity of 3% within 1000MHz bandwidth,2% within 900MHz,O.8% within 600MHz,electronic tun
TRANSFER PROPERTIES OF FET FREQUENCY DIVIDERS
A. Jacob
TRANSFER PROPERTIES OF FET FREQUENCY DIVIDERS A. Jacob ABSTRACT Theoretical and experimental investigations of harmonically synchronized FET oscillators are presented. Stress is put on the transfer properties for modulation signals. The experiments are performed with a 20 GHz fin-line FET divider.
