MUTUAL LOCKING OF QUASI IDENTICAL R.F. HEATING MAGNETRONS (PRELIMINARY RESULTS)

MUTUAL LOCKING OF QUASI IDENTICAL R.F. HEATING MAGNETRONS (PRELIMINARY RESULTS) JAVIER BARA TEMES ABSTRACT The conditions for the mutual locking of two "canonically" coupled oscillators are established and the case of slightly different oscillators studied. The results are used to obtain preliminary data on the coupling of two r.f. heating magnetrons.
BROADBAND LINEARIZATION OF MICROWAVE POWER AMPLIFIERS

BROADBAND LINEARIZATIOO OF MICROWAVE POWER AMPLIFIERS A. Egger, M. Ho:rn and T. Vien ABSTRAcr In an 11 GHz link line system up to 7 TV charmels shall be transmitted with SSB rn:x1ulation from a single transmitter. The high linearity of the p::>wer amplifiers and the frequency converters required for that could be obtained by separate amplitude and phase pre-distortion of the radio signal. Thi

ANALYSIS OF NON-LINEARLY LOADED ANTENNAS AND SCATTERERS. , (+) C.NALDI R.ZICH and F.FILICORI(++) ABSTRACT. A very efficient numerical technique for the analysis of non-line arly loaded antennas and scatterers is proposed. It is based on a generaliza tion of the piece~ise harmonic balance method, ~hich overcomes the need toexamine the complete transient development in the time domain. The algo
AN IMPROVED AUTOMATIC TRACKING SYSTEM FOR LINEAR AND CIRCULAR POLARIZATION

AN IMPROVED AUTOMATIC TRACKING SYSTEM FOR LINEAR AND CIRCULAR POLARIZATION (*) D. SAVINI (**) ABSTRACT A multimode tracking system to track geostationary satellites transmitting both linear and circular polarized beacon signals is proposed. The system is based on amplitude and phase characteristics of the higher mode TE21 only, generated on the aperture of the antenna when the boresight axis is
LEAKY WAVE ANTENNA USING AN INVERTED STRIP DIELECTRIC WAVEGUIDE

LEAKY WAVE ANTENNA USING AN INVERTED STRIP DIELECTRIC WAVEGUIDE. R. CRAMP AGNE , L. PADELLEC, It. SARREMEJEAN. ABSTRACT We present experimental results on a leaky wave antenna built from an inverted strip dielectric waveguide, in a frequency range going from 64 to 74 GHz. We study the frequency scanning for inclined backward beams, and the variations of gain and 3 dB beamwidth. We propose
DIELECTRIC SPHERE DIFFRACTED FIELDS OF CORRUGATED CONICAL HORN

DIELECTRIC SPHERE DIFFRACTED FIELDS OF CORRUGATED CONICAL HORN R. A. Nair and S.C. Gupta ABSTRACT: The analytical and experimental results of the behaviour of dielectric sphere loaded corrugated conical horn is discussed. Scattering theory is used to obtain mathematical expressions of gain and far-zone fields. The directivity is improved by dielectric sphere loading and is with reduced sidelob
COMPLEX INPUT IMPEDANCE OF THE RECTANGULAR MICROSTRIP ANTENNA IN A WIDE FREQUENCY RANGE

COMPLEX INPUT IMPEDANCE OF THE RECTANGULAR MICROSTRIP ANTENNA IN A WIDE FREQUENCY RANGE M. Malkomes ABSTRACT An analysis of the rectangular microstrip patch antenna is presented, taking into account the influence of the microstrip feeding line. The theoretical evaluation of the input impedance as a function of frequency, antenna geometry and the feed position has been accomplished by means of an

RANGIDSIDELOBE ELIMINATION IN MAXIMAL SEQUENCE PHASE CODED C. W. RADARS D.G. METAXAS*, C.S. AITCHISON*. .A:BSTRACT Elimination of the range sidelobe of the autocorrelation of the periodic binary maximal sequence has been achieved. A new property of the msequence is defined. As a result the ambiguity function of an msequence P.S.K. C.W. radar coincides with the ambiguity function of the equiva

ANALYSIS OF A WAVEGUIDE PARTIALLY FILLED WITH A DIELECTRIC MATERIAL
J. Askne, E. Kollberg, L. Pettersson
ANALYSIS OF A WAVEGUIDE PARTIALLY FILLED WITH A DIELECTRIC MATERIAL r Jan Askne, Erik Kollberg, Lars Pettersson ABSTRACT A rectangular waveguide partially filled with an anisotropic dielectric material has been analysed. The method of analysis has shown to be quite powerful in particular for high dielectric constant materials. A new configuration with a rectangular waveguide unsymmetrically
