KU - BAND POWER COMBINING OF PUSH-PULL OPERATED IMPATT DIODES
F. Diamand
KU - BAND POWER COMBINING OF PUSH-PULL OPERATED IMPATT DIODES F. DIAMAND ABSTRACT A 10 watts CW oscillator in Ku-band has been developed, using high efficiency GaAs IMPATT diodes. The diodes are associated in pairs and push-pull operated in three combining modules coupled to a cylindrical cavity. 20% efficiency with a nearly 100% combining efficiency has been obtained. six

ShirahatCl ABSTRAcr A 1 GHz lOOW transistor has been accomplished static induction transistor. with a new silicon device, A fine patterning technique brought the transistor chip to a high paver capacity without sacrificing a power gain. An internal matchin
INTERACTIVE COMPUTER TECHNIQUE FOR THE DESIGN OF SOLID STATE MICROWAVE OSCILLATORS
R.D. Pollard, M.J. Howes
INTERACTIVE OSCILLATORS Roger COMPUTER TECHNIQUE FOR THE DESIGN OF SOLID STATE MICROWAVE D Pollard and Michael J Howes ABSTRACT The full characterisation of the admittance of a two-terminal negative resistance device as a function of r.f. amplitude and frequency is used as the basis for an interactive oscillator design technique. Employing a display of the device characteristics the "
THE INFLUENCE OF HARMONIC INJECTION ON POWER, EFFICIENCY AND STABILITY OF TRAPATT AMPLIFIERS
F. Kappeler
THE INFLUENCE OF HARMONIC INJECTION ON POWER, EFFICIENCY AND STABILITY TRAPATT AMPLIFIERS F. Kappeler OF ABSTRACT It is shown by an analytical model, that power and efficiency of TRAPATT diodes are limited by the fact, that the optimum diode impedances cannot be matched with a passive load circuit at some harmonics of the oscillation. These restrictions can be overcome by injection of a small am
MICROWAVE TRAPPED PLASMA DEVICES OBSERVED ON A 35 GHz SAMPLING OSCILLOSCOPE
J.E. Carroll, J.K.A. Everard
MICROWAVE TRAPPED PLASMA DEVICES OBSERVED ON A 35 GHz SAMPLING OSCILLOSCOPE J.E. CARROLL and J.K.A. EVERARD ABSTRACT Optoelectronic switches have been built to generate and sample 100 volt pulses in 10 ps. This gives a unique opportunity to observe avalanche processes in X-band Trapatt diodes which are driven well above breakdown. The expected behaviour of such Trapatt diodes in a resi

A NOVEL HIGH SPEED AID CONVERSION TECHNIQUE USING A VOLTAGE CONTROLLED OSCILLATOR AND A MICROWAVEDIGITAL DISCRIMINATOR A. Akademir and C. S. Aitchison .AJ3STRACT A very high speed AID conversion teahnique potentially suitable for video and radar applications is described (1). The new teahnique combines two existing microwave components, a voltage-controlled oscillator and a digital frequency di

PROPAGATION PERPENDICULAR IN SEMICONDUCTOR INDUCTION LOADED SLOT-LINE WITH J. Mazur II The boundary va1ue prob1em associated with shielded slot line 1oaded with a thin slab of the perpendi. cularly magnetized semiconductor is formulated in terms of a hybrid mode representation. It is assumed that magnetized semiconductor can by treated as the impedance Hall current wall. The boundary conditio
CHARACTERISTIC IMPEDANCE ANALYSIS OF MULTI-CONDUCTOR TRANSMISSION LINE OF ARBITRARY SHAPE

CHARACTERISTRIC ARBITRARY SHAPE IMPEDANCE ANALYSIS OF MULTI-CONDUCTOR TRANSMISSION LINE OF L. J. Peter Linner ABSTRACT The proposed method makes use of conformal mapping technique for a transformation in two steps of multiconductor transmission 1 ines with homogeneous filling. The first mapping is done from a quite arbitrarily shaped conductor set to the upper half-plane with the conductors
SCATTERING OF PLANE AND GUIDED WAVES FROM COMPOSITE DIELECTRIC BODIES
J.G. Fikioris, N.K. Uzunoglu
SCATTERING DIELECTRIC OF PLANE BODIES. AND GUIDED WAVES FROM COMPOSITE J.G.Fikioris and N.K.Uzunoglu. ABSTRACT Scattering from eccentrically stratified spheres and infinite cylinders is considered. For a dielectric slab waveguide the scattering of a guided mode froman internal cylindrical inhomogeneity is also treated. For the case of a spherical (cylindrical) inhomogeneity embedded inside
